About the Dukes

Grapes and blues on a gorgeous afternoon at Dancing Dragonfly Winery, St. Croix WI.

Northside Dukes are celebrating their 16th year performing and interpreting American Roots Music, centering on traditional Rhythm & Blues and Jump Blues, with a pinch of Rock-N-Roll thrown in for good measure.
Founding members David Ybarra and Steve Seefeldt met in 2001 while attending a blues class at Minneapolis’ West Bank School of Music. They were drawn together by the music of artists such as Jimmy Reed, Robert Johnson, Jimmy Rogers, B. B. King, Eric Clapton, Little Walter, James Harman, the Red Devils, and many more. Over the years, David and Steve surrounded themselves with like-minded musicians dedicated to playing and proliferating the Blues in all of its many forms, and in creating a memorable show.
Whether the venue is a club, a party or a festival, The Dukes bring energy and passion to the music that both entertains and motivates people to get out of their seats and onto the dance floor.
